Partners in Recovery (PIR)

We support people with severe and persistent mental illness who have additional complex needs to link up with other appropriate services in a coordinated and collaborative way.

Partners in Recovery (PIR) works with people in the community with severe and persistent mental illness and complex needs, such as alcohol or drug problems or maintaining safe housing. It helps identify and coordinate effective supports for people who are at risk of falling through the cracks, and linking them with other appropriate services while also involving carers and families where required.

Program Services Include

A PIR Support Facilitator will help sort out problems with you by meeting in a relaxed and comfortable place that is familiar to you to see what services and support may help.

We make an ‘Action Plan’ to help link you into services and supports and identify any barriers.

A PIR Support Facilitator will assist you to build and maintain relationships with services and the community. Their job is to do things with you and not for you, but provide the support you need along the way.

There will be certain ‘criteria’ that you need to meet to qualify for help from PIR through  RFT. We’ll just need to ask you a few questions.
