RFT believes that users of our services should be involved and participate in both their design and delivery. To achieve this we employ a Consumer Advisory Representative. Our Consumer Advisory Representative works with consumers state-wide and facilitates a Consumer Advisory Council.
The Consumer Advisory Council is run by consumers, for consumers. It includes representatives from each of our programs and provides an avenue for consumers to feed information to RFT management, and for RFT management to get consumer input and advice on its services and direction.
RFT also runs Consumer Support Groups:
- Recovery group (Mowbray)
- Hearing Voices Group (Hobart)
Both of these groups provide a safe space for consumers to work together to find ways to achieve their own wellbeing goals.
For more information about these groups, call RFT on (03) 6228 3344.
